Role

Background

Currently, El Al's website requires customers to identify themselves using a specific order number and last name. This process is often cumbersome, as customers must remember their order numbers, leading to lengthy login procedures. Moreover, managing multiple orders separately poses additional challenges.

Goals

1

Empowering Independent Actions:

Enable customers to effortlessly manage tasks like seat adjustments and meal selections autonomously, eliminating the need for direct assistance.

2

Streamlined Online Check-in:

Driving a surge in online check-in usage will effectively mitigate airport queue congestion, enhancing overall travel experience.

3

Elevating Flight-Related Purchases:

Present enticing flight add-ons such as baggage enhancements, insurance packages, WiFi access, and premium streaming services to customers, thereby stimulating revenue growth opportunities.

Market Research

Competing with other airlines serving Israel, El Al's app needs to stand out by offering a superior user experience and added value. Here are the key points to focus on:

Streamlined Personalization:
Provide a personalized experience by allowing customers to identify themselves easily without requiring a login through order numbers.

Enhanced Value-added Features:
Offer valuable pre-flight information, such as destination insights, weather updates, and local recommendations, to enhance the travel experience.

Tailored Ancillary Products:
Recommend complementary products and services relevant to each customer, based on their travel history, preferences, and current itinerary.
